The Challenge
Longboat Key Provisions is a curated market who approached us wanting a logo. Within minutes of their consultation we discovered a complete brand identity was necessary to create a cohesive and professional foundation for print and digital marketing platforms.
The Research
The Longboat Key community is an upscale vacationing spot for families and snowbird travellers. After researching the community, region, and history we brought to the table a strategy that still aligned with concepts Longboat Key Provisions had for their identity.
Primary & Secondary Logo Design
A highly detailed, yet simple design best suited Longboat Key’s charm and persona. Two logos were created to ensure applications for both square and long, horizontal spaces.
Typography & Font Selection
The fonts needed to be expressive yet legible, while representing a care-free sense of luxury. Much like the products found in their market, these fonts are a premium and unique experience that resonates with the Longboat Key community.
Color Pallette & Identity
The pallette required a shortlist of key colors, but enough to keep it from falling into a monochromatic trap. Longboat Key is notable for a unique tropical green sea. Colors are sampled directly from its environment, while providing an earthly sense of luxury and comfort.
Print Marketing Solutions
Promotional flyers & Brochures
With a strong identity established, flyers and advertising spots soon followed to promote the grand opening.
The Brochure showcased the unique selling position of including a charcuterie deli. We incorporated the tone and sense of community into the brochure’s editorial and specialized the titles of charcuterie order portions, rather than just “small” to “extra large.”
Logistics
By providing an extra level of care and quality, we handled the printing and delivery of flyers and brochures. Longboat Key Provisions greatly appreciated the convenience leaving them focused on their Grand Opening and business operations.
Print Advertising
To further their awareness in the community, Longboat Key Provisions purchased ad space in local newspapers and magazines. The ads were kept in a cohesive and consistent visual approach similar to the grand opening flyer and charcuterie brochure.
Product Placement & Application
Visualization & Mockups
Longboat Key Provisions provides goods with their identity showcased on curated products. To best visualize the logo and identity, product mockups were created to showcase the brand in action through various merchandise solutions.
Web Design
The identity and marketing materials in place made web design a cohesive and content-rich site for Longboat Key. Photography was provided by local press during the Grand Opening, with premium stock photos to accompany storytelling content.
