A Clear Vision with Dolphin Glass
The client wanted to showcase their personal antique dolphin glassware with a modern etched globe in between. The assignment required careful lighting, the RIGHT reflections, and reducing dust and other impurities that may appear in the scene.
The photo is actually three takes combined into one. The dolphins were separately placed to reduce bounced light, as well as the glove in the center to remove distracting reflections so that the etched work inside could be clearly displayed.
The composite was then cropped and adjusted to fit all within the scene, while using editing techniques to remove dust and impurities that may have appeared during production due to the environment and sensitive lighting applications.
Spooky Showcase: Wednesday
With the Netflix series, Wednesday being a hit, merchandise became a key component to the craze and experience.
From dolls to books and decor, there is a product for every demographic to enjoy.
This image celebrates the versatile value that Wednesday offers beyond the TV series. Key lighting and fog was strategically added to match the haunting beauty the show originally possesses. The Monster High doll being fully posable also added a level of sophistication with a dance pose referenced from the show.
The Little Golden Book brings a level of engagement as the character looks at the viewer, with the Thing snow globe completing the piece.
No Mistakes: You Tooz & Bob Ross
This celebration piece encompases the joy of creation with the You Tooz collectible, “Bob Ross & Friends.”
The figurine includes Bob Ross, with notable critters he’s always referenced or mentioned in his popular Joy of Painting series.
For fun, the piece is placed in a forest environment, full of “happy trees” on a mossy hill.
While the painting on the easel originally features a simplified painting, creative liberties were taken to placing the actual painting used as the background to be the very work he is creating.
The painting adds a level of authenticity and originality, because it’s also an actual acrylic original painted by the photographer, Yours Truly!
